Water and sanitation agency: Rs171 million recovered in six months

On average, WASA recovered Rs20 million every month while its expenditures were around Rs32 million.

HYDERABAD: Water and Sanitation Agency recovered Rs171.7 million as outstanding and current utility bills during the second half of 2011. The recovery was made possible due to tireless efforts of the management who even succeeded to recover around Rs38 million dues from the Sindh government, said WASA’s spokesperson Nadeem Yousuf. According to Yousuf, on average WASA recovered Rs20 million every month while its expenditures were around Rs32 million.
