LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has declined to hear a petition challenging an order of a sessions court in the Sapna Khan case.

Justice Sheikh Ahmad Farooq observed that due to personal reasons, he was not inclined to hear the case and referred it to the chief justice so that it could be fixed before another bench.

The sessions court had ordered a report from police on former Punjab chief minister Dost Muhammad Khosa’s petition seeking recovery of his former wife Sapna Khan.

Missal Khan, Sapna’s father, filed a petition with the LHC stating that Khosa could not seek recovery of his former wife. His counsel prayed that the court to set aside the order of sessions court.

Missal has also filed another writ petition in the court, to summon Khosa and direct him to file an affidavit with regard to information he might have about the kidnapping and possible murder of Sapna. The judge refused to hear this petition as well.
