PM convenes energy meeting today

The Prime Minister has called a high-level meeting in Islamabad today to discuss the energy crisis.

The chief ministers of all four provinces have been invited to attend the meeting which will be headed by the prime minister.

Minister for water and power as well as provincial ministers for irrigation will attend the meeting.

The meeting will discuss new power projects with Iran and deliberate on various power saving measures. The two-day weekend for government employees will also be considered.

Recommendations for the construction of a new dam will also be reviewed in the meeting.
