Kharatobad case: YDA demands probe into doctor’s killing
Young doctors have condemned the murder of a police surgeon in Quetta. In a statement issued in Rawalpindi on Sunday by the Young Doctors Association (YDA), the murder of Dr Baqir Shah was condemned and three days of mourning were announced.
During hearings on the Kharatobad case, where five foreigners were killed by security forces, the Balochistan High Court ordered police protection for Shah.
Despite being asked to alter the post-mortem reports, he refused and began receiving death threats. The YDA demanded that the case be properly investigated.
