KARACHI: Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) held a wheel-jam strike on Saturday, to register their protest on the ongoing CNG crises. Public transport traffic was almost negligible on the roads. The KTI president, Irshad Bukhari, said that the day-long strike caused a loss of more than Rs40 million for the organisation which is the same caused by 24-hour shut down. “We are sick of the day to day CNG load shedding,” he said. “Every second day CNG stations are closed down and we have to stop our vehicles at bus stands.” He added that hundreds of families were directly affected by the load shedding.  He said that the government has not contacted them yet and they will ply their vehicles on the roads on Sunday.
