Flood victims: President asks govt to rebuild homes

President also suggests keeping a complete record of all equipment and machinery used during relief work.

KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari has asked authorities to complete all development and rehabilitation work in rain and flood affected areas before the start of the next monsoon season. This was stated by Sindh Information Minister Shazia Marri while briefing the media after attending meetings at Bilawal House on Friday. She said that the president has agreed to the proposal by the Sindh Government to reconstruct houses of rain and flood victims at the sites where they had collapsed. President Zardari has advised all concerned authorities to build houses for affected people in a joint and coordinated effort. He also suggested keeping a complete record of all equipment and machinery used during relief work in every district for a ready data which can be employed in the future.
