Paying tribute: Park inaugurated at Sea View
The park has been named “Capt. Farhan Ali Shaheed Park”
KARACHI:
A new park near Village Restaurant at Sea View was inaugurated on Monday evening by DHA Administrator Brig. Aamer Raza Qureshi. The park has been named “Capt. Farhan Ali Shaheed Park” to pay homage to the young army officer who died in operation Rah-e-Nijat at ‘Tor Cher Valley’ in Dara Adam Khel last year. Qureshi said that DHA decided to name the park after the shaheed officer so that it should be a source of inspiration for the people to unite and to resolve to fight against terrorism and extremism in society. A function was also organised on the occasion, hosted by poetess Ambreen Haseeb. Documentaries about the martyred officer were displayed to the audience.
