Police officials have traced a blind double murder of a couple four days after the incident.
Sialkot District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ali Mohsin disclosed this while addressing a press conference at Sialkot Press Club Sialkot on Tuesday. SP (Investigation) Sialkot Nasir Muneef Qureshi said that the accused Shamas Tariq had killed his step daughter Tayyuba and her husband Tariq Mehmood alias ‘Pappu’ in Sialkot city’s congested Naikapura locality on December 22, 2011.
The DPO said that the accused Shamas had illicit relations with his stepdaughter and poisoned her and her husband with the help of his friend Imtiaz.
The accused told reporters that later both men strangled Tayyuba Bibi and her husband Tariq and alleged that the murders had occurred during a robbery. The DPO said that the police had arrested the accused and further investigations were under way.
The DPO also announced cash prizes and appreciation certificates for the police party that led the raid for the arrest of Tariq and Imtiaz.
