TOKYO:
Suzuki have officially announced a two-year withdrawal from the MotoGP world championship with immediate effect, according to a statement from the firm. The decision, prompted by global recession and unfeasible economic conditions, brings an end to months of speculation regarding Suzuki’s plans for the immediate future. “With an eye on returning to MotoGP in 2014, Suzuki will now focus on developing a competitive new racing machine for that class,” read a team statement.
