Cricket: Rawalpindi trounce Lahore in U-16 clash

LAHORE: Rawalpindi defeated Lahore by eight wickets in the PCB-Pepsi Cricket Stars under-16 one-day tournament. Batting first, Lahore were bowled out for 97 before Rawalpindi reached the target with eight wickets to spare. In other Pool A games, Peshawar beat Islamabad by 60 runs, while Abbotabad thrashed Fata by 127 runs. Meanwhile, Sialkot beat Faisalabad by 91 runs in a Pool B fixture. Sialkot posted 231 batting first and then bowled out Faisalabad for 140. In other matches, Hyderabad secured a 17-run win over Multan, while Quetta posted a two-wicket win over Karachi.
