Olympics: Hasan reveals POA objectives

Confirms that the hockey team currently represented Pakistan’s best hope of winning a medal at the London Olympics.

LAHORE: The Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) President Arif Hasan revealed the country’s action plan for the next few months following the organisation’s executive meeting in Lahore yesterday. Hasan confirmed that the hockey team currently represented Pakistan’s best hope of winning a medal at the London 2012 Olympics, while outfits representing other sports were still looking to secure qualification. Meanwhile, the POA also announced plans to conduct beach games in the country at national and Asian level, in addition to exclusive competitions targeted at youth and women.
