Positive change: Ghinwa Bhutto slams government at rally

SUKKUR: The chairperson of Pakistan Peoples Party-Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB), Ghinwa Bhutto, strongly criticised the government’s poor performance and said that the present rulers have turned Pakistan into American slaves for their own interests.

She was addressing a public gathering at railway ground near the Sukkur railway station on Friday evening. She appreciated the self respect of Pakistani people and said that they were deprived of their basic rights, electricity, gas, water, health, education and other needs. She said that the people refused to bow down to the designs of the US while the rulers are only busy in trying to please them for their own good.

She termed the Nato airstrike which left the 24 soldiers dead “naked aggression”.

She said that even then our rulers were not sincere to the people and still sided with America. Regarding the evacuation of Shamsi Airbase, she said that her party protested earlier and demanded its evacuation but the government didn’t pay heed to them.

Ghinwa said that the present rulers have pushed Pakistan back into the Stone Age while the rest of the world lived in the 21st century. The present government did nothing for the welfare of the country, according to her. The parliament failed to act according to the sentiments of the people and it should be called an American parliament, she said.

Ghinwa urged for a positive change in the country and also said that it cannot be brought by the present rulers.

The people of Pakistan will bring change through the platform of PPP-SB. For that the party needed a vote bank, which is full of love for the Bhutto family. She urged the people to join hands with the real Bhutto party and bring a positive change in the country.
