FAISALABAD: The city police officer (CPO) has suspended three police officials including the Civil Lines station house officer (SHO) on charges of illegally detaining a citizen. According to a police official, Bilal Ahmad was working as cook at the house of a police officer and was illegally confined in the house after he failed to serve a meal on time. SHO Civil Line Nasr Ullah Chattha helped inspector Rasheed detain Bilal, the official said. Upon receiving news of the incident, the CPO ordered SSP (Operations) Sadiq Dogar to conduct an inquiry into the matter on Thursday. The SSP implicated Chattha and two other police officials for illegally detaining Bilal. The CPO then ordered that the officials be suspended.
