KARACHI: The inspector general of the motorway police, Wajid Ali Durrani, has announced that the law enforcers have started a drive against vehicles with sub-standard CNG fittings. During the weekend, the police officers will inform the drivers of such vehicles about the drive and ask them to obtain fitness certificates from the CNG Hydrocarbon Development Institute of Pakistan. From Monday, the police officers will stop vehicles traveling on the motorway and ask the drivers for a fitness certificate. If the driver does not have the document, a fine will be imposed and the vehicle will be stopped from completing its journey.
