Shaun Marsh put his troubled back through strenuous testing, hitting an unbeaten 99 off just 52 deliveries to lead his side home to a convincg victory. He hit nine boundaries and five maximums, putting on 95 with partner Herchelle Gibbs for the opening wicket in under 10 overs. Gibbs scored 57 laced with eight boundaries and two sixes.
The Pakistani duo of all-rounders Shahid Afridi and Abdul Razzaq was carted all around the park for 70 runs in just 6.2 overs, going wicketless as the Renegades suffered a shock turnaround in the second-innings of the match.
Earlier, Aaron Finch and Andrew McDonald shared a 91-run opening partnership to set the foundations of a huge total. McDonald was the top-scorer for the Renegades with 50, while Finch made 49.
Razzaq hit a 17-ball 27 towards the end of the innings as Melbourne put up a competitive 188 for three off their quota that seemed adequate for the Renegades to register their first win of the tournament until Marsh took guard for a scorching reply.

@Imran:
What matters in the end is the truth and that is they were carted around every where looked to be totally out of control.
What's the point of this report? :S You just looked at the stats and put this up.
Gibbs was dropped by McDonald in Razzaq's first over! He went on to score a 50.
Marsh was dropped by Buchanan on Afridi's bowling and the ball went for six. Needless to say, Marsh played a gem to see the Scorchers through.
extrememly unpredictable players but great entertainers
