CHISHTIAN: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Nawaz Sharif  said on Thursday that politicians these days are trying to brainwash the children of Pakistan for their own vested interests, but will fail in their efforts.

Sharif was addressing a rally in Chistian, District Bahawalnagar. He said that the PML-N will represent the support of the people of Pakistan.

He said that the people of Pakistan were the real pride and cause of Pakistan’s sovereignty and that many politicians had entered the political arena to deceive people, but the latter had refuted them by supporting the PML-N.

'Pakistan being pressurised for having nuclear capability'

The PML-N leader said that Pakistan was being pressurised today by external powers to bow down to them because of its nuclear capability but the government was not addressing this issue.

He added that Pakistan had become a nuclear power because of PML-N.

Nawaz Sharif added “My aim is that I will destroy all those who are trying to pressurise Pakistan. PML- N has the power of the people of Pakistan which has always remained invincible and with this power we will win elections, then there will be development and progress all over the country. Motorways will not only be made between Lahore and Islamabad but between Peshawar and upper Punjab, Southern Punjab and then to Karachi and Gwadar as well.”

Speaking on the current government, Sharif said that Islamabad had become a symbol of corruption since those proven guilty of corruption were sitting in the government and were not bold enough to resign.

Sharif said it was he who had been put in prison, tortured, beaten and thrown out of the country but PML-N had never abandoned the people of Pakistan and will continue to serve the people of Pakistan. He added that it was PML-N who had strived to unite angry political leaders of Pakistan.

'We will change future of Pakistan'

Speaking on the education and unemployment situation in Pakistan, Sharif said that unemployment and the poor economical condition today is the basic problem faced by the people of Pakistan.

“People of Pakistan are dying due to inflation, poverty and corruption, the government has shown no concern about these problems. We have set an example of change in Punjab and will change the future of Pakistan.”

Regarding unemployment he said “We will give loans to the youth to organise and initiate small industries, so that in turn they create employment for other people, becoming employers. Loans will be given to skilled youth and who have proven their competency and capacity to work for the progress of Pakistan.”

He added that Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif had constructed computer labs in 4500 schools of Punjab and had distributed 100,000 laptops amongst students on merit.

Nawaz said that PML-N was also planning to rehabilitate the agriculture sector of Pakistan by giving government free lands all over Pakistan on lease to agricultural students and small farmers to base the economy on a vibrant agriculturural sector.

“Many of these projects have been implemented in Punjab and Shahbaz sharif has been personally monitoring these projects. I have instructed Shahbaz Sharif to go to each village of Punjab and listen to the problems of every village,” he said.

'I feel on top of the world'

An elated Nawaz Sharif told the rally “Today I am feeling on top of the world by seeing the support of the youth of the Southern Punjab in this gathering, that have beaten the youth of Peshawar and Lahore. No doubt unemployment has crushed the people of Pakistan but PML –N will bring back prosperity in Pakistan and eradicate corruption. We will rehabilitate all barren lands of Southern Punjab.”

Other PML -N leaders who addressed the really included Tehmina Doultana, Zulfiqar Khosa and former city mayors. According to ground estimates, over 45000 people attended the ceremony.
