Turkey’s Zorlu Energy has signed an energy purchase and implementation agreement for a 56.4MW wind power plant in Jhimpir, Sindh which is expected to be operational in 2012, Journal Weekly reported on Wednesday. The agreement was signed with Pakistan’s National Transmission and Despatch Company and Pakistan Alternative Energy Development Board. Zorlu Energy had five thermal power plants with combined installed capacity of 460MW and 192 tons per hour of steam in 2009.
