Tribune Take: Pakistan cricket needs a succession plan for the captaincy
Faras Ghani, Sports Editor The Express Tribune, says this win was a great way to end a very successful year for the team. Having not lost a single series this entire year, the team goes into the England series with confidence - even though England is the number one test cricket side.
However, Ghani points out with Misbahul Haq's success as a captian, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to appoint a vice captain. With no one being groomed in the shadows for two-years down the line, the PCB might find itself in a tough spot soon.

Who says no choice for Vice Captain Hafeez deserves this spot very well. And every one knows this.
MOHAMMAD HAFEEZ IS THE MAN TO FOLLOW MISBAH UL HAQ AS THE SKIPPER
The way I see it, we will have Misbah, then Hafeez and then Umar Akmal some 5-6 years later.
If you actually follow pakistan cricket than you would know tht mohammad hafeez is next in line and even did captaincy in a warm up 3 day game in West indies tour when misbah rested !
It should be muhammad hafeez who has also captained domestic sides.
@antanu: no way an akmal brother can captain pakistan. are we already forgetting that he was guilty of faking an injury to protest the dropping of his brother.
PCB should groom Umar Akmal. He is young, immensely talented and impending responsibility may force him to play intelligently and not in rash manner of which he is often guilty .. But he is Pakistan's future in cricket...there is no doubt.
I believe the next nominee is Mohammad Hafeez. Ofcourse this Pkistan and keeping in mind the ways of the PCB and our cricket team anything can happen.
