Oath-Taking Ceremony: K-P minister fulfils PDA’s demands

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister Bashir Ahmed Bilour’s reiterated that the government would only hold talks with militants who are willing to surrender, at the oath-taking ceremony of newly-elected employees of Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) on Tuesday. Bilour expressed ignorance over negotiations between the government and militants and said the federal government would not hold talks with militants without their participation. The minister fulfilled many pending demands that the authority employees had been pressing for, including an increase in monthly salaries of PDA employees from Rs4,000 to Rs7,000 and regularisation of contract employees. t
