The first incident took place in the Matta Mughal Khel area, which is located close to the Mohmand tribal region. A government-run girls primary school was destroyed after a bomb placed outside the building in a tin detonated, police said.
The second school was blown up in Bareesa Ghundai, where militants placed a time bomb outside a boys primary school. Only one room remained intact after the blast.
Both areas are located close to Mohmand. Government-run basic health units, schools and security officials have been targeted in the area previously.

Mr. Hamid, sorry to say but this country has developed a habit of blaming others for their problems. Floods devastate Pakistan, Indians did it! Mosque gets blown up, Indians did it! School gets blown up, Indians did it! Weather gets too cold or too hot or too rainy, Indians did it! Stop blaming the Americans, Indians, Aliens and start taking responsibility for your own country. What about when Mohajirs and Pathans fight and kill each other every day, tell me the Indians did not have anything to do with that too?
We don't need any other country to keep us down, we do a fine job at it ourselves.
We are happy to hear that no lives were lost in this horrendous act of terror, but it is extremely painful to see that these barbaric-minded militants are willing to sacrifice kids and their future just to achieve their evil objectives. This is not the first time schools were targeted, and in fact hundreds of schools have already been destroyed by these militants in Pakistan. If that alone doesn’t depict their hatred against society, then we should remind ourselves that the ones being affected are the innocent children. These evil-minded terrorists have left little to ponder regarding their dark motives, and day by day it’s becoming clearer that they are busy uprooting our society. This latest attack reminds us yet again that these terrorists need to be confronted with an iron fist to prevent future atrocities like this one from recurring. The children hold the key to our future, and those who are seeking ways to destroy our future must be dealt with harshly. Their cowardly ways are no surprise to any of us, but attacking schools only translates to evil. We hope that day is not far when peace will fully prevail and our forces will make the region free and clear of terrorism.
What else can one expect from Islamic militants ?
