Killing spree continues in Karachi

Citizens of Karachi are in a state of panic as the situation in the city  remained tense late Saturday night. The death toll from target killings rose to 16 in the last 24 hours, despite heavy deployment of police and rangers.

So far, 38 people have lost their lives in the recent wave of target killings which began on Tuesday last week. Areas most affected by target killings are Shah Faisal Town, Sarjani Town, Pehlwan Goth, Malir and Gulistan-e-Johar.

So far, no arrests have been made in this regard, however, both the MQM and ANP have blamed each other for the rising tide of violence. In a damage control move, Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that no operation will be conducted against any political party.

The people of that time think we are powerful and great. Killing each other doing all kind of sins for power, fame, money and not following Allah command. Muhammad (PBUH) was the last Prophet and there is no other Prophet will come anymore. I am in depression and thinking who will guide us now. We called us Muslims but actions are not Muslims. Where we are going. Allah forgive our sins and guide us. Country is in deep trouble by Western interference, Suicide bombers, Corrupt politicians and internal riots.
HashimAbbasi | 14 years ago | Reply nothing justifies killing someone. Our Police and Govt are corrupt so the fear of law is missing. The pic above shows a car burnt in front of Marriot hotel which leads to the U.S. Consulate which happens to be a high security area where buses, trucks, vans, big cars other than the rich men’s Pajero’s and Prado’s arent allowed. So my question is where were those Police men when it happened?
