Zero-point: Iran opens border trade gate

Cosure of the trade gate caused problems for people living along both sides of the border.

CHAGAI:
The Iranian government on Sunday reopened Zero-Point trade gate on Pak-Iran border in Taftan area of Chagai district.

Deputy Commissioner Chagai Dr Tufail Baloch told APP that Iranian border force officials had closed the Zero-Point trade gate due to some reasons, and it had remained shut for trade activities for about three months. The closure of the trade gate caused problems for people living along both sides of the border, he added.

Reopening of the gate would boost local trade as livelihood of thousands of people living along the border in the two countries depended on trade activities, he added.
