The hybrid fuel public transport i.e., diesel and CNG. Experiments were conducted on pilot studies at the Hydrocarbon Development Institute on several trucks, with seveal cylinders. But the results were not satisfactory, at the early 80's. That conversion was made under scientific lines for safety, security by the august instituion which is Hydro Carbon Development Institute. Public transport, is public safety. Conversion in any public transport should be regulated by OGRA, and Hydro Carbon Development Instiute of Pakistan. RTA should make sure the conversion is made, and vehicle is not operative on diesel. Due tariff changes be announced for reduction of the tariff if it opreates on CNG. Insurance for public transport is most essential to be taken with passenger liability in the event of injury, or death a claim has to be paid by the insurance to the passenger. or dependants. Tickets should also be issued. The RTA should make sure the insurance part, tickets to the passengers, and tariff implementation for the CNG if permitted by the Hydro Carbon Development Institute. A special insurance should be arranged for passenger travelling in CNG bus by the bus operator.
