Fuel crisis: Transport panel condemns CNG station closure

KARACHI: The Karachi Transport Action Committee has condemned the weekly closure of CNG stations in the city and demanded that the government withdraw its decision.

The leaders of the committee, Muhammad Ashraf Banglori, Chaudhri Mazhar Hussain, Tanzeem Khan and Nazeer Banglori said that the people faced a lot of problems since around 70% of the public transport had already converted to CNG. They said that the CNG shortage had also disturbed businesses and industrial activities because the workers could not reach office. They also criticised the government for banning the import of CNG kits and cylinders.
