Family tragedy: Five-year-old girl found dead in garbage dump

HYDERABAD:

The body of a five-year old girl, who went missing around two days back, was found from a waste dump in Faqir ka Pirh area on Sunday.

According to City DSP Ahmed Qureshi, Malaika went missing on Saturday evening.

Her father lodged a complaint at Fort police station in the evening. “A garbage man saw her body in a waste dump in Balu Shahi Mohalla on Sunday morning.” said Qureshi.

Muhammad Javed, her father, said that two of his daughters had gone to the market on Saturday but only the older one returned. “The older one, Tayyaba, 6, got angry at Malaika and left her alone in the market,” he said in the report.

DSP Qureshi said that Malaika’s face was bruised and she was throttled. The family did not allow a post mortem.

The police have arrested three suspects.

This girl didn't deserve such a death. It reminds me of the horrible killing of three daughters and their mother but an Afghani father in Kingston, Canada. Muslim men need to learn to value women.
