Equal opportunity: Blind students demand 10% quota

Blind students at PU demanded the CM to allocate 10 per cent quota for blind students at public universities.

LAHORE: Blind students at Punjab University on Sunday demanded the chief minister to allocate 10 per cent quota for blind students at public universities. “We need government’s special attention and seek allocation of quota like normal students,” said Shamasul Zia, one of teh blind students talking to the reporters on Sunday. Another blind student Nadeem Aslam said that world over blind people were contributing to national development and playing vital roles in space science. He said he was certain that blind students in Pakistan could also compete at international levels. He thanked the PU vice chancellor’s support towards all blind students at the university.
