The concert aimed to unite Pakistanis, Afghans and Americans to empower children to reclaim the beauty of Afghanistan’s lost music culture. The concert took place at Kuch Khaas and included exciting and innovative collaborations between William and local musicians, ranging from sarangi and tabla players to pop and rock artists. The event was a fund raiser for ANIM to raise Rs75,000, which will be sufficient to provide a years fee for two children at ANIM.
ANIM is a unique institution which is striving to revive Afghanistan’s music culture, after decades of damaged caused by the civil war and Taliban’s ban on music. The organisation aims to harness the talents of Afghanistan’s youth.
