PESHAWAR: Three people were killed in a firing incident near a mosque in the Tarnab village of Charsadda on Friday.

Initial investigations revealed that the incident was the result of a personal enmity.

“One person was shot within the mosque, while two were gunned down in the alley adjacent to the mosque," said Station House Office (SHO) Muhammad Nabi Khan.

Locals of the area told the police that someone was waiting with an AK-47 for the target to arrive for Friday prayers and when they did, he shot them.

The police have not given their final statement yet. “We are still investigating. It seems that it is personal enmity that resulted in the killing of these three people," said District Police Officer (DPO) Nisar Marwat while talking to The Express Express.
