HARIPUR: Students of Hazara University blocked the Grand Trunk road for about two hours on Thursday to protest against lack of facilities on its Haripur campus. The students of agriculture sciences department boycotted the classes and took out a rally from Haripur campus to Darvesh village. Traffic was suspended and later diverted to Central Jail Road, which created a gridlock. The protesting students raised slogans against the university administration for not providing them with a laboratory, a library or even transport facilities due to which female students are especially inconvenienced. It is mandatory for a university to provide students with both a laboratory and a library to gain accreditation, according to the Higher Education Commission. The students opened the road after Haripur district coordination officer, DSP headquarters and PPP MPA Dr Faiza Rasheed assured them their problems would be addressed. However, the students gave a 24-hours deadline to the administration for meeting their demands.

yes m with student... Management does'nt know how students afford university fees and all other expenses from time of admission to interview for job. After this time hard time period if the degree 'll be found fake then no one can guess what is the feeling of a student... so university must give them their proper rights.... and feel fear from God..

i agreed with these students, because there are no facitilies in haripur campus and students have a lot of problems, and even university agriculture department is noy recognized with national agriculture council of pakistan, due to which agriculture degree is useless. peoples responsible for these factors should have to take action about it.
