Two schools blown up in Kohat, Tank: Police
In a similar incident, a girls school was blown up in the Ama Khel area of Tank district by unknown miscreants.
However, no casualties has been reported in both the incidents.
Schools, colleges and other government installations have been consistently attacked by militants in the areas in Khyber-Pakhtoonkhwa. Police and security officials have arrested a number of suspected militants in raids in the last few weeks involved in destroying schools.
Floods and militancy have seen 1,896 schools destroyed in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, and 200 schools still remain closed. In Malakand Division, 367 schools were partially damaged and 273 were completely destroyed. As many as 73 educational institutions have been destroyed over the past year alone in the Mohmand Agency in Fata.

Since the Salala incident, it seems that the only ones who have benefited are the terrorists. They have been killing without remorse on both sides of the border, and today we see them destroy two more schools in Kohat area. Children are the future of a nation, and education helps to make that future brighter. Terrorists are focused on not only destroying the present but the future of the nation as well. These terrorists have been given chances, and every time they came back with more violence and brutality. Taliban are no “holy men.” They are ruthless killers. If they even had an iota of a holy streak, they would not kill and cause destruction the way they have been for the last decade.
It is important for the sake of the future of the children of Pakistan and Afghanistan that we put aside our differences and focus on the common enemy. A bright future cannot be envisioned as long as these terrorists are dead set on destroying the region.

Those who do not want education either for themselves or their children can cross the border and live in blissful oblivion in Afghanistan. No wonder Pakistan has one of the highest illiteracy rates in the world.
