SIALKOT: Dozens of water filtration plants in Sialkot and Daska are out of order for the last three years as the Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs) are not allocating funds for their repair. “The Health Department has declared groundwater in Sialkot unfit for human consumption”, said Dr Muhammad Muneer Butt, chairman of the Citizens Rights Forum. Muhammad Asif Bajwa, president of the Sialkot Bar Association (SBA), has urged the Punjab chief minister to order repair of water filtration plants at the earliest.
