Hockey: WAPDA women demolish Balochistan

LAHORE: Wapda pummelled Balochistan 16-0 on the second day of the 27th National Women’s Hockey Championship. The result was beyond doubt at half-time with the score at 8-0, but there was no respite for the losers as Wapda doubled their tally by the end. There were two other one-sided results with Punjab Colours defeating Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa 11-0 and Army beating Sindh Whites 6-1. Railways also cruised to a comfortable victory as they defeated Higher Education Commission 4-1, while Sindh Colours earned a hard-fought 1-0 win against Punjab Whites.
