KRL maintained its winning streak in the Pakistan Premier Football League when they beat KPT 3-0 in in Islamabad yesterday, while Baloch FC stunned Muslim FC 3-1 in Noushki.
Muhammad Qasim scored the opening goal for KRL in the 39th minute and doubled the lead six minutes later. Saddullah scored in the 62nd minute to seal the win and take KRL to the top of the standings with 67 points after 25 matches. KPT sit 10th with 32 points.
Meanwhile, Baloch FC celebrated their win on home soil when they edged out second-placed Muslim FC. Habibullah scored twice for Baloch FC – a 21st and 61st minute strike to help his side take a 2-0 lead.
Muslim FC halved the deficit in the 66th minute with Saeed Ahmed’s goal but Baloch FC’s Najeebullah sealed the victory in the 85th minute.
Elsewhere, defending champions Wapda outclassed PIA 3-1 in Lahore to share fifth spot with them.
