Amid growing speculation on President Asif Ali Zardari’s health condition, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain condemned those disseminating rumours about the president’s health and termed it unjustifiable behaviour against a man who stood as a symbol of unity for the country.
Delivering a telephonic address at Nine Zero during MQM’s annual Youm-i-Shuhada (homage to the martyrs) meeting, Hussain strongly condemned the cross-border Nato attack that killed 24 Pakistani troops in Mohmand Agency saying, “Nato should respect Pakistan’s sovereignty and that the country was not Afghanistan or Libya,”
The self-exiled leader also supported all decisions taken by the Pakistani government and Army after the attacks, including the boycott of the Bonn conference, the request to Americans to evacuate Shamsi Air Base and the blockade of Nato supplies travelling through Pakistan.
Altaf Hussain also encouraged party supporters and the people of Punjab to prepare for the party’s rally in Multan on December 23, scheduled two days before the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf rally in Karachi. The MQM chief added that the party had never given party tickets to feudal lords and encouraged the youth to help make the rally a success.

First Mr Altaf Hussain ask for well being of President Zardari, then one by one every leader prayed for good health of President. Why MQM become first in every move that is followed by others ??
What is the return date Altaf "bhai?" You will find me standing right behind you when you lead the charge to destroy feudals and Jagirdars in Pakistan to "liberate the suppressed masses;" exactly like you standing behind The President.
Humbly yours, An Adna Karkun.
Zardari has the Muttaheda where it hurts the most. These are the same guys whom we vote for and changed the face of Karachi but now they are stuck in Karachi and Hyderabad.
With the PTI Express blowing hard, they will have to blow extra hard. Salams
MQM only back those people who are in power.
Yesterday condemned, today praising/praying, tomorrow condemning again, and it continues like that. All struggle just to stay in govt.
You pat my back, I will pat yours...
