Caught: Target killers arrested

They had participated in an attack on Police on August 19 in Korangi and in a shoot-out in Chakra Goth.

KARACHI:

A team from the Malir City police station conducted a raid on Thursday night in which it arrested two men who were involved in the Chakra Goth incident. Both of them are affiliated with a political party.

SHO Ali Hasan said that the suspects, Shahnawaz alias ‘Shaitaan’, and Nadeem alias ‘Gadha’ alias ‘Manhoos’, had confessed that on August 19, they had opened fire on a police van in Korangi and participated in the shoot-out in Chakra Goth. The rifles that were used in the attacks have also been seized by the law enforcers. The suspects have given the police a list of 52 murders that they have committed. Many of their victims were members of rival political parties. Hasan said the remand of the suspects was obtained from the court on Friday.
