FAISALABAD: A one-day kissan festival will take place at the sub campus of the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, on Khikha Bangla Road, Toba Tek Singh, on Sunday (Dec 11). The festival will feature an agricultural exhibition, a fancy birds show, a kabadi match, a bull race, sociological exhibition and a workshop on latest research underway at the UAF. A food street would also be set up at the occasion. A university spokesperson said the festival would provide a platform to farmers in the area to interact with UAF agriculture scientists and to learn about use of modern technology. He said the university planned to hold similar exhibitions in the future. The workshop will start at 10am. Cultural events will begin at 230pm. Many agricultural scientists from the UAF Main Campus will attend the event.
