MULTAN: Standing by his earlier statement, newly appointed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice President Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that if Pakistan faces any danger, it is from President Asif Ali Zardari and not from any threats to the country’s nuclear installations.

Regarding Pakistan’s nuclear facilities, he said they were more secure than ‘any other atomic installation and nukes in the world’ because the armed forces of Pakistan have ensured their protection by all means.

The former Pakistan Peoples Party leader and foreign minister was talking to journalists on the occasion of Waseem Badozai, previously a Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz member, joining PTI.

Talking about his country’s ties with the US, he said that while it is in Pakistan’s best interest to have peaceful relations with the US, relations cannot be maintained with a country which has violated Pakistan’s sovereignty.

A R Malik | 12 years ago | Reply Nawabzada Waseem Khan Badozai is a barrister and a noble political worker. He contested election from pp 200 Multan as a PML(N)candidate and secured 10300 votes. He also filed nomination papers from pp 194 but withdrew his candidature from there, however, it was after the withdrawl date and that is why his name also got printed on ballot papers.
