Investigations: Former RBISE head faces suspension

RAWALPINDI: Dr Muhammad Qasim, former chairperson of Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE), will appear before the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) investigation team on Saturday, officials said. The chairperson and controller exams were suspended following registration of a criminal case against them for mistakes in the 2011 annual results. According to the FIR, ACE nominated former RBISE controller Amjad Iqbal Bhara, RBISE computer-in-charge Afzal Bhatti, programmer Muhammad Asif and data entry operator Sarfaraz Ahmed for issuing faulty results. Dr Qasim and Farrukh will now face investigations. This is the second time this year that RBISE top management have been suspended on charges of inefficiency.
