Special Branch Report: Twelve banned organisation activists missing

The report said it was likely that these activists took part in the violence in Jhang and Khangarh.

MUZAFFARABAD: Twelve activists of banned outfits whose names were placed in the 4th Schedule of the Anti-Terrorism Act (people placed on the schedule are supposed to be kept under surveillance at all times) were missing during the Ashura, a Special Branch report stated on Wednesday.

The report said it was likely that these activists took part in the violence in Jhang and Khangarh.

They were identified by the report as:

Muhamad Mateen, missing from his residence in Jhangi Mohallah, Rawalpindi; Maulana Khalil Asad, Munir Ahmed, Muhammad Bilal and Muhammad Sadiq, missing from their residences in Jalalpur  Pirwala; Saeed Ahmad, a resident of Jalalpur Mor, Lodhran; Muhammad Sadiq, resident of Moripur , Khanewal; Abdullah alias Qari Shoaib, resident of Noor Town, Burewala, Vehari; Farooq Shaheen, resident of  Aslam Colony, Sillanwali, Sargodha; Qari Ghulam Farid, resident of Jamali Balochan, Khushab; Masjood Ahmed, resident of  Bismillahpur, Rahim Yar Khan; and Muhammad Shafiq, resident of Arif Town, Rahim Yar Khan.
