Zafar ‘ecstatic’ about LPNY music

Pakistan’s pop sensation Ali Zafar has finished recording the soundtrack for his upcoming film London, Paris, New York (LPNY), according to koolmuzone.com.

The soundtrack of the film, which is produced by well-known producers Goldie Behl and Shrishti Arya, consists of six different tracks. All the tracks are composed, written and sung by Zafar himself, who also plays the lead character in the film along with Indian actor Aditi Rao Hydari. “It’s an intense process but wonderfully satisfying,” said Zafar, who has successfully recorded all the tracks at his home studio.

“I am ecstatic. I’ve finished my work for the music of London, Paris, New York. Six rocking tracks. Can’t wait for you all to hear,” tweeted the 31-year-old.

In an earlier interview with Hindustan Times, Zafar said that the film’s music is not going to be conventional. “I want to create sounds that are fresh like our film. And since the film touches on different emotions, I can experiment with genres. I will use as many ‘live’ instruments as possible to give the songs an organic feel.”

He also said that all the songs reflect the character of the three cities — London, Paris and New York, in which the story is set. “The London song will be happier, with simpler notes, as compared to the one set in Paris that will be edgier. The New York track, on the other hand, will be more refined.”

London, Paris, New York, expected to release in the first quarter of 2012, is Zafar’s third film in B-town after the singer-cum-actor made his Bollywood debut last year with Tere Bin Laden. The singer’s second Bollywood production Mere Brother Ki Dulhan — which also features Imran Khan and Katrina Kaif — was released this year in September.
