Judge sentences man to two years for drug posession

Shahid Ali was sentenced to two years in prison for possessing 200 grams of hasish.

LAHORE: An Additional District & Sessions Judge Muhammad Sheraz Kiani awarded two years imprisonment to a convict for possessing 200 gram hashish.

The judge also fined him of Rs500, with non-payment increasing the jail term of the convict by six days. However, the convict has been extended benefit of section 382-B of CrPC.

According to details, Shahdra Town police arrested convict Shahid Ali on August 26,2009 and confiscated 200 gram hashish from his possession. On Friday, the jail authority produced the convict before aforementioned court where the judge awarded him two years imprisonment along-with fine of Rs500.
