Shutter Down Strike: Levies police station set on fire

Political and religious parties demanded the government to take immediate steps to ensure peace in Shahrag.

QUETTA: A complete shutter down was observed in Harnai District on Friday condemning the recovery of three bodies of coalmine workers. Angry protestors torched the Balochistan Levies police station in Shahrag and set two police vehicles on Friday. Balochistan Levies found the three bullet-riddled bodies on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Sana-ur-Rehman, Gulam Hussain and Abdul Rehman. The men had been kidnapped on November 27 by a group of armed men near Shahrag area, about 35 kilometres from Harnai. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the kidnappings and killings. Political and religious parties demanded the government to take immediate steps to ensure peace in Shahrag.
