Robbery-Cum-Murder: Three sentenced to death

FAISALABAD: District and sessions judge Raja Akhlaq Husain has sentenced three men to death on two counts of robbery-cum-murder in Jhang Bazaar police precinct. Adeel Alvi, a resident of Bholay Di Jhuggi, and Muhammad Imran and Imran Husain, residents of Chak No168-RB, were arrested for killing Afghan Bibi and Naeem Kausar, residents of Gulshan-i-Hayat Colony, during a robbery on April 21, 2008. The court also imposed a fine of Rs200,000 on each of the three convicts. The amount will be given to the legal heirs of the deceased. Failure to pay the fine will result in imprisonment for an additional six months.
