SUKKUR: If it were not for Hasina Bagri’s neighbours, the police would never have found her body in Ghota Market Mohalla. They had heard Bagri arguing with her husband, Liaquat Shar, on Thursday morning and became suspicious when he stormed out of their house a few hours later. The police said that Shar had strangled his wife. Bagri and Shar met four years ago and wanted to get married. They had to elope because Bagri was a Hindu. She converted to Islam soon after and changed her name to Fatima. The body was taken to a hospital but no case was registered when this report was filed.
