The division will be headed by a retired senior army or police officer, according to a PCB press release.
“The unit will be responsible for monitoring and managing issues related to corruption and security,” the release added.
The creation of a new Coordination Division was also approved for improved management with government departments and within the board itself. The division will hear inputs of Regional Cricket Associations and other domestic cricketing bodies.
Meanwhile, PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf apprised the members of his meetings with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Bangladesh cricket chief Mustafa Kamal, during which the issue of the ICC’s vice-presidency was discussed.
