Police identify bodies recovered from Gulshan-e-Iqbal

SHO says young men were shot in the head and their bodies were abandoned in Block 7 of the area.

KARACHI: Two men who were killed in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area last week were identified on Wednesday by Karachi police.

According to Station House Officer (SHO) Dost Muhammad, the deceased were identified as Sikandar alias Hamza and Naseer, who were natives of Gilgit.

Muhammad said that the youths were affiliated with a political faction. Both young men were shot in the head and their bodies abandoned in Block 7 of the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area.

The belongings of the deceased, which included mobile phones and money, were retrieved from their pockets. According to the police, this indicated that they were killed due to personal enmity.

The police handed the bodies over to their families after completing their investigation.
