The central leader of ASWJ, Maulana Aurangzaib Farooqui, held a press conference at Jama Masjid Siddiq-e-Akbar at Nagan Chowrangi on Tuesday afternoon. Farooqui demanded that the authorities replace the ASWJ flags at Tibet Centre put there by his party men and warned of a protest at Numaish Chowrangi on Friday. “The government will be responsible for the situation created after the protest,” said Farooqui. “The media and the government should stop marginalising us.”
According to him, the Yaum-e-Omar rally on Sunday was peaceful. It was attacked by the scouts first. “The Numaish killing was planned because the shooters immediately attacked the mosque over there.”
Farooqui said that his party men will not be scared by the arrests. “The PPP leadership should remember that many of their members get to the parliament with our support.”
The leaders of ASWJ met with the leaders of Sunni Ulema Council, Sunni Student Movement, Sunni Rehbar Council, Sunni Action Committee, Difa Harmain Sharifain Committee and others earlier to decide the future course of action.

I think, taking out a rally to mark a death annaiversary is Shirk o Bidaat, according to sect of Mr. Aurangzaib Farooqi.
Since “The PPP leadership should remember that many of their members get to the parliament with our support.”, I'm sure key figures in Pakistan Rangers were also promoted because of their ties with SSP.
Good work Express Tribune, at least you gave the incident SOME importance...
If an extremist leader lies, then it can't be called a lie but a STRATEGY.
The Youm e Omar rally was peaceful...it was targeted by extremists for there hatred of this great Caliph

@Moise, isn't the Ashura rally (taken out by Shias) for mourning ?
Pakistans biggest problem isnt the electricity crisis. It is the coming clashes between different sects. Intolerance has become a part of our culture. If we do not stop all of this, pakistan will be the next somalia.
@maryum, yes, don't know why is Millat-e-Jafria allowed to hold press conference
Now Faisal Raza Abdi is on terrorist hit list.
