The protest was led by Salim Gabriel, Hanif Maseeh, Javed Sindhu, Pastor Asif Rafique, Javed Enayat and Madam Tabassum. The speakers said the Nato strike was not the first of its kind, as Western forces had repeatedly violated Pakistan’s borders. “How can we forget the great sacrifices of our brave soldiers? All Christians of Pakistan categorically condemn this dastardly attack,” said one speaker. “If any country or alliance of countries tries to intrude our borders, our response should be very hard and fast.” The Christian leaders pledged their full support for the army in the defence of the country’s sovereignty and integrity. They said that the United Nations must take note of the incident and play a part in stopping such attacks on Pakistan.

Umer, please come crawling out of the cave you are hiding in. Group Capt Cecil Chaudhry has always been revered as a hero of 1965 war and fought alongside MM Alam valiantly. No one has forgotten him nor can his and other Christian and Hindu brothers of Pakistan would be forgotten who have been as patriotic as any Muslim Pakistani.
not a surprise .. every son of the soil should think the same way. Pakistan Painda baad.
indian trolls find hard to deal with that the minorities in Pakistan are more open.
Despite few cases recently which were purely because of illiteracy and jahalat doesnt undermine the fact that people of minorities live their lives as they wish to
And yet, our Christian minority gets persecuted periodically. Is this a taboo topic to broach?
@Umer: Hard truth ?? He comes regularly on forums. Look at how he was awarded "Flight Lieutenant Cecil Chaudhry was awarded Sitara-i-Juraat. Later on in the year 1971 he again displayed the same courage and bravery and was awarded Tamgha-i-Juraat. Cecil Chaudhry is now an educationist. He is also working for the betterment of children with disabilities and Special Education reforms." And what about Michael O Brien who has been honored 7 times by various agencies in Pakistan. Stop belitting our heroes Indian
Everyone forgot him. The air force did not invite him on '65 war celebrations, neither mentioned his name as an achiever. Sorry this is the hard truth.
@Proud Christian:
Any luck with prosecuting Gojra and Shanti Nagar incidents culprits?
I appreciate christians to be patriotic and show their anger at this atrocity by NATO ..Even if it happens to India , Indian christians or hindus or muslims would be outraged by this kind of reckless action... However I just wish Pakistan do away with kala kanoon and focus more on economic development and prosperity and secular mindset similar to India.
@Homa: We are not petrified. Hun. Truth is Christians have long loved Pakistan and Pakistani Muslims and hospitality of some Pakistanis are exemplary. Obviously there would be some bad apples in a population of 180 Million. Who can forget the Christian that destroyed 9 Indian aircraft in the war of 1965. Pakistan Zindabad
