Muharramul harram: Sindh police review security plans

KARACHI: With Muharram around the corner, Inspector General Police Mushtaq Shah has told the police to look into any new arrivals at rented houses, guest houses and hotels in their respective jurisdictions. The police are to work with their intelligence network. He directed police to be on the look-out for tip-offs about suspicious activities. Muharram processions routes are to be monitored thoroughly and checked repeatedly. It was also decided that ulema will be given full security besides mosques and imambargahs in sensitive areas while the majalis of women should also be given special security and no lapse would be tolerated.
