Scuffle: Expat held for thrashing immigration officials

Police intercepted Jehanzeb Khan during patrol and seized 550 grams of heroin from him.

An expatriate was arrested from Benazir Bhutto Airport on Saturday for allegedly thrashing an immigration official.


According to police officials, Shehzad Azeem Khan, 21, who holds a British passport, was about to board a PIA flight (PK-785) bound for London on Saturday morning.

However, he entered into an altercation with Assistant Sub-Inspector Zafar Iqbal of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), during inspection of his passport, upon which Khan allegedly started hitting and punching ASI Iqbal and other officials. He was taken into custody by the FIA personnel and handed over to the Airport police.

In a separate incident, the Tarnol police arrested a man from Jhangi Syedan and seized drugs from his possession on Saturday.

According to Sub-Inspector Ghulam Mustafa, the police intercepted Jehanzeb Khan during patrol and seized 550 grams of heroin from him.
