KARACHI: Up to 300,000 pensioners registered with the Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) will now be able to receive their pensions through Easypaisa, said an official on Wednesday. An agreement to make this happen has been signed by Zafar Iqbal Gondal of the EOBI and Nadeem Hussain, the president of Tameer Microfinance Bank. EOBI pensioners can register at the nearest Telenor centre or with a Tameer bank branch with their EOBI pension book and original CNIC. Once registered, they can withdraw their pension from the designated Easypaisa outlets across Pakistan.
